Taking care
of your battery helps prevents break downs, if you car
wont start the possibility exists that the problem lies
with your battery. Here are some helpful tips to prevent
your battery form failing.

Clean
terminals frequently with a wire brush and Make sure
clamps and/or connectors are tight.

Check The
Battery Box or Platform for acid corrosion.

Neutralize
corrosion with baking soda and water.

Check Battery
strength, cables and electrolyte fluid. Never have
voltmeter reading below 7 volts. A hydrometer reading
should show at least a 50% charge.

Replace
cables if the appear to be rusty

NB/ always
wear safety glasses when operating battery and never
smoke or use combustible items when working near
battery.
